What We Do
We promote maternal and child health rights for women and children
Training and Equipping traditional birth attendants, Community Health Workers and Community Health Nurses to provide maternal &child care; to- hard to -reach areas of the project regions.
Most of the communities’ lack qualified or professional midwives or nurses and as a result, pregnant women and mothers end up having to deliver in the hands of unqualified and untrained persons therefore; contributing to high birth complications. Training covers family planning, HIV/AIDS, Malaria and Diarrhea, food and Nutrition amongst others.
Distributing Insecticide Mosquito Bed Nets to Pregnant women and Children Under-five
Training of Community Volunteers; to educate community people on Food and Nutrition, exclusive breastfeeding and basic nutrition for Mother and Child. MamaCare-Ghana focuses on and for Pregnant Women and children in the communities.
Training of Paralegals to educate and advocate for fundamental human rights in the communities whiles promoting gender equality and women in community decision and leadership positions.
We Construct and refurbishes health centers, maternity homes, CHPs Compounds and School infrastructure mainly for basic education
We source funding to support communities with water and Sanitation through Mechanized Boreholes and Improved Pit latrines for Basic Schools,
MamaCare-Ghana also empowers women through basic skill training and access to Savings and loans teaching women how to keep basic bookkeeping. We collaborate with Ministry of Agriculture to give basic technological training for women peasant farmers in their communities.
Collaborate with Ghana Health Services (GHS), Midwifery Training School, Hospitals, Health Centers, health facilities and Clinics.
Collaborate with Municipal Assemblies and District Assemblies.

Collaborate with Department of Social welfare and protection. This Ministry is responsible for women and children development.
Today, Mama Care-Ghana Organization continues to support the health and family needs of women and children in Ghana. Women are still dying in childbirth, children continue to die from preventable diseases, and many communities have no access to healthcare.
We are a local non-profit making organization founded in 1996.
We promote sexual and reproductive health rights for women and children and undertakes activities also in Gender equality, women and children basic rights, women economic rights, women empowerment health and educational infrastructure projects,in the Republic of Ghana.
We are registered with the registrar General’s Department of the Republic of Ghana and obtained a certificate of incorporation of a Company under the Companies Act 1963, Act 179 as a Limited by Guarantee
